Your Sri Lankan adventure begins with pickup from Colombo, Negombo or Bandaranaike International Airport. Travel towards the cultural heart of Sri Lanka and visit the magnificent Dambulla Cave Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage site famous for its ancient Buddhist statues, paintings and cave shrines. Continue to Sigiriya, one of Sri Lanka's most famous landmarks. Climb the historic Sigiriya Rock Fortress and enjoy spectacular views over the surrounding forests and countryside. After exploring Sigiriya, continue to Kandy, the cultural capital of Sri Lanka. Visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, one of the country's most important Buddhist sites. You can also enjoy views over Kandy Lake and the surrounding hills. Check into your hotel and relax after a full day of sightseeing. Overnight: Kandy Meals: Dinner
After breakfast, depart Kandy and travel into the beautiful central highlands. Enjoy a scenic drive through rolling green hills, waterfalls and extensive Ceylon tea plantations. Visit a tea plantation and tea factory, where you can learn how Sri Lanka's famous tea is grown, processed and prepared. Enjoy a cup of freshly brewed Ceylon tea while taking in the mountain scenery. Continue towards Nuwara Eliya, a charming mountain town known for its cool climate, colonial character and tea estates. From Nanu Oya, board the train towards Ella and enjoy one of the most scenic railway journeys in Sri Lanka. The route winds through misty mountains, tea plantations, forests and valleys. Start your final day surrounded by Ella's spectacular mountain scenery. Visit Little Adam's Peak, one of Ella's most popular viewpoints. The relatively short hike rewards you with beautiful panoramic views across the surrounding valleys and mountains. Continue to Ravana Falls, one of Sri Lanka's well-known waterfalls, and take some time to enjoy the scenery and photographs. Continue your journey towards Udawalawe National Park. Enjoy a wildlife jeep safari through the national park, with opportunities to see Sri Lankan elephants and other wildlife in their natural surroundings. After the safari, continue towards Colombo or Negombo for your final drop-off. Tour ends with unforgettable memories of Sri Lanka.
